If you're replacing an old tank or tankless water heater, you'll want to pick a water heater with a door that will at least be as large as the current access door on your RV. Be sure to search for the water heater that includes the correct size you need.

Fogatti's tankless hot water heaters are popular for being efficient and quality options, but which model would be best for you? Let me give you a quick summary:
Fogatti 7: Lower Btus and lower flow rate compared to the 8s. This can be a good pick, though, because that means you're using less propane to heat water. If you aren't trying to heat very cold water, and you don't expect that anyone else is going to be using hot water while you're in the shower, then this will be a perfectly fine option, especially if you use low-flow fixtures for conserving water. I'd recommend it for solo campers or couples who almost never camp in cold months.
Fogatti 8 Plus: Higher Btus and flow rate while being the same size as the 7. You'll get slightly better performance, and it will be more effective at heating colder water. The extra flow rate won't necessarily allow you to run both a faucet and a shower at the same time without noticing a difference, since both fixtures can use 2.5 gallons per minute. But if you have a higher-flow shower head, this can keep up better. I'd recommend it if you're likely to camp when it gets chilly overnight and want a little extra performance.
Fogatti 8 Pro: This is the same as the 8 Plus, with the addition of a water mixing tank. This tank adds a few more inches to its depth, but that generally won't be much of an issue, especially if you're replacing a water heater with a tank. I'd recommend it if any variance in water temperature is going to really annoy you.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Fogatti InstaShower 7 RV Tankless Water Heater with this black metal hinge door. Now if you're wondering what the differences are between this InstaShower 7, the 8 Plus or the 8 Pro, be sure to take a look at the lower portion of this product page. We have provided for you a really great summary of each of those water heaters. You can read those over and decide which one is going to work best for your particular application.
But for this InstaShower 7, this tankless water heater is going to work great if you generally don't camp in colder months and don't use a lot of hot water all at once. This 48,000 BTU heater is going to heat two and a half gallons per minute, which as you know, is the average water flow of an RV shower. Now this larger size black hinge metal door with this flat lock is going to give you easy access for a cleaning and maintenance. It's gonna be very easy to open as you can see there, and you're gonna have full access to the inside of this water heater. Now this door is sized for replacing a 10 or 16 gallon tank water heater with a 18 inch wide and 18 inch tall access door.
I do wanna point out that other sizes and colors of doors are available for this InstaShower 7. So as you can see there on your screen, the bolded model number there is the door that we are looking at. We do also provide this in white, and that's the number that's going to be right above the bolded number that we're looking at. But you can also see above other size options that we have for this water heater. So if you're looking for another size, just take the item number that you see there on your screen of the size that you're looking for, pop it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to that size door that you're looking for along with this water heater and the water heater will be exactly the same.
Now, the efficient propane burner is going to heat water only when you're using your faucets or your shower inside of your RV or camper. The lower BTUs are going to conserve gas if you don't need super hot water or only camp in warmer months. The pilot ignition type is automatic. And this door, for our purposes here, I'm not using the hardware to secure this door to the water heater. I just have it kind of slid in there, but I just wanted to give you an idea of what this is going to look like when you have this fully installed.
This is going to include this wall controller with digital display. It's going to let you adjust temperature and show diagnostic error codes. The temperature settings gonna be from 95 degrees to 123 degrees Fahrenheit. The water pressure is gonna be 14 and a half to 116 PSI. The preferred pressure is gonna be 40 to 45 PSI. Now this water heater does feature internal safety components to protect you, your family, and your RV. For instance, this is going to automatically cut off gas if the flame goes out to prevent leaks in your RV. So very easy to open and close, and you can see that flat lock is gonna be very easy to operate. I went ahead and gave you the measurements of our door already 18 inches wide, 18 inches tall. Let me give you the measurements of the water heater itself. So looking at the width, we're sitting right at 13 inches wide, 13 inches tall. And then the depth of just the water heater itself, it's gonna be about 13 and 13/16 inches deep. If you add the door, about 14 and 5/16 inches deep. Now, this is going to be a simple installation with the included hardware. You're gonna receive hardware for the both the door and the water heater and instructions are also included with this. And then you're also going to use your existing lines and cutout and additional cutout depth is gonna be needed to make your connections. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
our orders have been up to par!
